Big Lux

Big Lux is a violinist, lyricist and DJ, who was named Rhode Island’s favorite hip hop act of 2024 by Motif Magazine. His solo shows combine familiar tunes, beats, improvisation, storytelling and physicality unheard of for string players. Hailing from RI but having spent most of his adult life overseas in the military, his unique sound is a blend of the styles and cultures he’s absorbed throughout his life. Influences include classical violin, jazz, bluegrass and hi-tempo Latin music. Whether rocking a festival stage, dance club or vibing in a more intimate setting, Big Lux is making both his music and his voice heard across the country. He is thrilled to be playing his third summer at the historic Spring m House and can’t wait to bring his all-ages party back to the lawn.
